Ideology of "Blade Runner".

Riddley Scott's 1982 neo-noir film "Blade Runner" is best described as a dystopian film. In the yeas that followed, both the Kennedy assassination and the unpopular war in Vietnam. The people started to lose confidence in authority. this gave rise to popular trends of classic, dystopian themed films.

 1984 (1984) dir. Michael Radford, was based on the book, by George Orwell.

"Blade Runner" focuses on these elements using the elements of film-noir but transposed into 2019. Such as the detective (Deckard) & the femme fatale (Rachel). The film also has elements such as, low key lighting, particular use of colours, blinds and settings.
