3. Judge Wendell’s (Marion's father) house. Danny arrives to talk with him. Exterior shot of cab pulling up leads to interior with the old Judge in a bath chair. Danny meets Marion again at the house.

 Music has continued from previous piece until 09:34 which takes the action up to the end of this next scene.
8. Danny’s car interior. No Music.
9. In the diner, Danny sits at the counter orders a coffee.
As next scene comes up we get diegetic music for the night club:

This sounds a bit sinister although is a genuine hit from the era. The other thing is it is a piece of music familiar from “The Singing Detective” reminding British viewers of a detective on the case.

13. Back in Danny’s office the next morning. No Music.
14. Outside his office, he sees a thug, from the boat.
