Whilst working on my documentary entitled “Chaplin: rags to riches”, I thought about incorporating an interview I filmed in 2017 of the film critic and Chaplin biographer David Robinson. David wrote the biography, “Chaplin: his life and art” (mentioned in previous blogs) in 1985. He is a former film critic who has worked for both the times and financial times. And he is also the former director of the Le geonate del cinema muto festival, in Pordenone, Italy. The interview footage below was filmed at the Bristol slapstick fest (21/01/2017).
